The PrimordiaBoard was the first successful attempt at creating a low-power, high-response command unit for localized suit operations. Originally intended for internal use within maintenance bays, the PB-91 was repurposed during early testing phases as a field-deployable interface prototype.
Utilizing standard mechanical switches and a custom logic interface built atop open
firmware (KMK
), the board allowed precise input under chaotic or
compromised environments. Its oversized OLED display was included not for ergonomics,
but due to the blackout shielding requirements of early test environments.
“...The PB-91 was never meant to be used in the field, but it kept showing up. Engineers love it. More worrying: the test suits seem to prefer it too. Althea swears that’s a coincidence.”
— Excerpt from Engineering Oversight Log #8824A
Only seven working PB-91 units were ever manufactured. One has since been recovered by an independent entity. Its firmware appears to have been altered— containing fragments of pre-collapse encrypted data.
No further production is authorized. PB-91 is now classified as Legacy Tech.
